The Farr IRC 42 was a custom grand prix design optimised for the International Racing Certificate rule — the primary measurement system for offshore and inshore circuit racing. At 42 feet it sat in the sweet spot between grand prix performance and owner-campaign practicality, and Farr’s VPP tools gave the office a measurable advantage in tuning performance within the rating.
