Beneteau First 47.7

47’ | Production Racer | 2000
Beneteau / Farr Partnership — 500+ Boats Built Worldwide

The Beneteau First 47.7 was the larger sibling of the highly successful First 40.7, designed by Farr Yacht Design and produced by Beneteau from 2000 through the following decade. More than 500 hulls were launched, establishing the 47.7 as a benchmark in the competitive 47-foot production racer-cruiser segment.

With its wider beam, larger sail plan, and offshore capability, the First 47.7 attracted owners who wanted the Farr performance pedigree in a slightly more spacious package than the 40.7. The boat has accumulated strong results across offshore programmes including the Caribbean racing circuit, the Bermuda Race, and European inshore and offshore series. Its IRC rating and one-design class events have kept large fleets competitive well beyond the production run.
